Development of the new generation porous insulating plastic mass by applying functional nanomaterials

This project aims to develop a new generation thermo insulating polystyrene foam material that can compete with the most advanced plastic insulation technology. This objective has been achieved by creating new nanomaterials and processes, which changed the structure of polystyrene foam. Project implementation covered investigation of molecular structure of material (its properties and dependence on various media, plastic extrusion process), computer modeling and laboratory experiments. At the end of the project was developed a pilot technology of the new material production.

Project No. VP2-1.3-UM-02-K-02-079
Programme: EU ERDF
