MET R&D is focusing its activities onto knowledge intensive and close to market technologies, material and product development and commercialization for renewable energy sector. The main goal of this department is to provide novelties for solar and thermal energy sectors. 

MET R&D is an active participant of international funding programmes (Horizon, Eureka, etc.), therefore participates and manages plenty of regional and international projects (SuperPV, SmartFLEX, SusPire, Coral cells, AidaSUN, etc.)

MET Energy develops innovative energy recovery and storage solutions for sustainable buildings and industrial processes. Department main focus is development of heat recovery and thermal energy storage systems, design and manufacturing of heat exchangers, tailored to the specific needs of the different industrial processes, measurement, monitoring and analysis of energy parameters.

Protech is an Applied Research Institute of MET group, conducting research in the field of renewable energy, in particular photovoltaic technologies and related electronics. Our main focus is photovoltaic cell and module treatment with various materials and deposition techniques to exceed efficiencies, lifetime and aesthetics of present PV technologies. We provide testing and conformity assessment as well as carbon footprint calculation for solar products.

Protechlab is the research and testing laboratory under the PROTECH research institute, that provides various tests for photovoltaic and other branches of industry such as glass, construction, textile, polymers, etc. Its main focus is identification of technical characteristics of solar cells and photovoltaic modules, their performance and quality, verification of the manufacturing processes, assessment of PV-power plant quality and production of non-standard PV modules.

Metsolar is an European manufacturer of tailor made solar solutions for BIPV, Solar roof, lighting and other Smart City applications. We specialize in design and development of bespoke solar panels, which require a personal touch and unique approach to the specific inquiry.
