MET Participated in the 2nd General Assembly of the EMPOWER Horizon Europe Project in France

The MET team participated in the second General Assembly of the EMPOWER Horizon Europe project, held in France at the CEA INES research center, one of Europe’s leading hubs for photovoltaic and energy innovation. The meeting brought together consortium partners from the research, industrial, and technology sectors, all working to strengthen Europe’s photovoltaic manufacturing capacity and global competitiveness.

Technological Dialogue and Industry 4.0 Solutions

During the General Assembly, strong emphasis was placed on the application of Industry 4.0 solutions in photovoltaic manufacturing. Through workshops and technical sessions, participants explored advanced manufacturing processes, digitalization opportunities, and automation solutions, as well as their impact on efficiency, scalability, and production cost reduction.

Discussions addressed not only technological developments but also the practical challenges faced by European PV manufacturers in delivering high–value-added, competitive, and sustainable solutions in the global market.

Innovation, Value and Results Exploitation

The program also included innovation and results exploitation sessions, during which the solutions developed within the EMPOWER project, their market potential, and the next steps toward commercialization were discussed. Particular attention was given to innovation across the entire value chain—from materials and manufacturing processes to final product integration and deployment in real-world applications.

As an active project partner, MET contributes to discussions on how scientific research and technological innovation can be effectively transferred into industrial applications, supporting the development of practical and economically viable photovoltaic solutions.

Valuable Insights and Strengthened Collaboration

Participation in the General Assembly provided the MET team with valuable technical and strategic insights, strengthened collaboration with European partners, and supported active contribution to the implementation of the EMPOWER project’s shared vision. Such meetings are essential not only for advancing the project but also for strengthening Europe’s photovoltaic ecosystem in the long term.

We sincerely thank all EMPOWER project partners for their constructive discussions, knowledge sharing, and joint efforts toward delivering advanced, sustainable, and competitive solutions.

Together, we are strengthening the future of European photovoltaics. ☀
